Cupid
Ain’t Stupid
Cupid & Psyche: reviewed by the
Missus
The Plot: A comedy adapted from the ancient Greek fairy-tale. When the God of Love is sent by his mother to destroy the most beautiful woman in the world, he hits a snag when he finds himself falling in love with her.
The Good: This play
was excellent!!! Giz, a member of “The Wrecking Crew”, played Runt, assistant
to Aprodite and Cupid, and she was hilarious.
She really put her personality into the part. This was a well-put
together cast with a great chemistry. My favorite part was when Runt was riding
on a cloud with the princess. There is
too much to the scene to explain, but trust me it was really funny. This play
is a must. GO SEE IT, or I might have to hurt you!!!!!
Bad: There were a few opening weekend jitters, with cast members flubbing their lines a little. As is often the case with plays like these, the main character (Cupid) is the least interesting.
Overall: Excellent!!! I really recommend this play. It is funny and touching and very romantic. Great for a date!!! I found myself staring at my hubby (Ah, love). This was a wonderful show with some good laughs. Great cast and great story!!!! My favorites in the cast were Giz and the gentlemen who played Apollo!!!!
